This is my late father’s 1976 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I drove it for a few years in high school, but after that, it sat neglected for over 20 years, slowly deteriorating. It was meant to be a father-and-son project, and we got as far as tearing it down to the frame. We discarded the parts that weren’t salvageable and acquired a powder-coated frame, FJ70 axles, new suspension (still in boxes), and were awaiting the completion of an OEM tub.
Unfortunately, this is where the project paused, as my father passed away from cancer in 2023. I’ve decided to continue restoring it in his honor, naming it “The Eddie” after him. This build is a tribute to my dad, Edward, and our shared dream. More updates to come...
